What happens when a deal ends

Updated October 26, 2026

When we mark a deal expired

We mark a deal expired when:

  • the store confirms the deal is over,
  • the deal's end date passes, or
  • the promo code stops working.

We do this within minutes of finding out. Deals with a known end date say This deal is ending soon under The catch.

What you'll see

The deal page stays up, so old links from search engines and emails still explain what happened. On an expired deal:

  • the page says This deal has ended,
  • the store link and any promo code are removed, and
  • a button takes you to live deals in the same category.

Expired deals drop out of every deal list on the site.

Seeing a dead deal that's still live?

Please report it. We check reports quickly and expire dead deals within minutes of confirming.

Will the deal come back?

Sometimes. Stores often repeat sales. The daily email is the easiest way to see new deals as they post.
